Unlock Your Full Potential. Say Hello to THE NEW YOU

I encourage all of you to chase your dreams. Do whatever sets your soul on fire. However silly it may feel. It’s never too late! And I hope with me sharing my own journey it may ignite a spark in you in taking those first steps toward your own!

MY STORY

Hi. I’m Ron.

I use to be FAT. And in a way… I probably always will be.

So… Let share a little more of my journey with you!

Having spent a HUGE chunk of my life overweight, I missed out on a lot. Too embarrassed to socialise and constantly feeling self conscious about the way I looked and felt – I missed out on LIFE. It’s been an uphill battle. And still is today.

To this day, food has a hold over me. The reality was I had an eating problem and body dysmorphia.

At my lowest of lows I would binge eat as a way of dealing with stress. I would literally SNEAK to McDonald’s and buy TWO McMuffin breakfasts and demolish them. Straight after that last bite all I could think about what lunch! Back to McDonalds… Share Box ordered. Share Box finished! FINISHED.

That would see me through to “home time”… on the way home I had to make a pit stop and get something sweet. And by sweet I mean TWO HUGE red velvet muffins with icing on top!

Finishing off my day was dinner. From chip rotis to greasy lasagne.

It took me a long time to realise that my obsession with food was killing me. It could never fill an emptiness inside of me that I so desired to fill. I hated myself.

It took me a long time to realise that my obsession with food was killing me. It could never fill an emptiness inside of me that I so desired to fill. I hated myself.

I tried every diet you could imagine. I managed to lose weight with pretty much all of them, but keeping it off was another story.

Personal trainers. I went through dozens. Online coaches? Check. Custom eating plans? Check!

I came to realise that they may have been knowledgeable in the fitness field, but NONE of them could ever understand how I was feeling!! It’s very easy for a personal trainer to say “eat this. Train like that” – All textbook stuff.

The problem with that was the majority of trainers out there have led active lifestyles the majority of their lives. They have never had weight issues. And by weight issues I’m not talking about a few kilos here and there. I’m talking about being morbidly obese.

Why would I ever trust someone to help me when they could NEVER really understand me?

So how did I get to where I am today? I finally came to the realisation that I was an addict. And addicts need recovery. After a lot of soul searching I was finally ready to LIVE my life.

I will always be addicted to food. Like any addict, I will probably relapse. The difference now? I love myself.

I’ve replaced one addiction with another – RUNNING.

When it’s just you and the road, its therapy money can never buy.

Social media has glossed over real life expectations that it can have a negative effect on your own journey. So follow me on my journey as I constantly discover what I am actually capable of. Experience my highs and lows. Real life, no filter problems. I will be setting goals along the way and share my process leading up to tackling them.

I encourage all of you to chase your dreams. Do whatever sets your soul on fire. However silly it may feel. It’s never too late! And I hope with me sharing my own journey it may ignite a spark in you in taking those first steps toward your own!
